A blonde is at a job interview for a high-level executive position. The interviewer is impressed by her resume but wants to test her quick thinking and basic skills.
“Everything looks great,” the interviewer says. “But I have three final questions to see how you’d fit in our office.”
The blonde nods, “I’m ready!”
“First,” says the interviewer, “Can you tell me your age?”
The blonde spends about 30 seconds counting on her fingers, then smiles and says, “Twenty-six!”
“Okay… a bit slow, but correct,” the interviewer notes. “Second question: How tall are you?”
The blonde immediately stands up, reaches into her handbag, pulls out a measuring tape, traps one end under her shoe, and pulls it to the top of her head. She checks it and says, “Five foot five!”
The interviewer is a bit puzzled but continues. “Last question: For our HR records, what is your first name?”
The blonde starts bobbing her head from side to side for nearly a minute, mouthing something silently to herself with a look of intense concentration. Finally, she beams and says, “Mandy!”
The interviewer sighs. “I have to ask—I understand counting on your fingers for your age, and the measuring tape for your height makes sense… but what on earth were you doing when I asked for your name?”
The blonde giggles and says, “Oh, that? I was just singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to myself!”
